Everyone who wishes to work should be entitled to work. Those who do not wish to work should also be entitled not to work. Those who wish to claim benefit will be provided with work if they have not found employment within 3 months. There will not be a need for migrant labour.

E.P.P. believes in full employment for all citizens of England, where this is practical and possible, and will endeavour to stimulate and maintain a climate of sustained growth, across the country.
Full employment comes from a buoyant economy, and in England, with our wide knowledge of Finance, Manufacturing, Design and Production Techniques, E.P.P. is confident we can re-vitalise our manufacturing base. We need it now, more than ever before!
Our Manufacturing Base in this country has been allowed to deteriorate to an unacceptable level, and E.P.P. intends to restore this, as quickly as possible. Government funding will be available to assist with suitable reconstruction, at all levels of production and manufacturing, including, as we are a maritime nation, ship building.
In all areas of Industry, every effort will be made to retain our wonderful Manufacturing Skills, before they are lost forever, and even more jobs continue to go abroad.
Particular attention will be given to Research and Development of new and existing products. We are known throughout the world for our inventions and development skills, and these will be fast-tracked and encouraged at all stages.
The more people who are gainfully employed, across the nation, the less there are to rely on State Aid. This benefits all levels and categories of society.
Unemployed will be encouraged to take a job as soon as possible, and if a position has not been found within 3 months, employment will be found for them on paid Community Service, called Community Work Status, payable on attendance only. State Benefits will only be available during a three-month period of unemployment, or up to the point suitable employment is found.
Taking an unsuitable job, and leaving within a short pre-set minimum period, just to get back on Benefit, will not be acceptable or tolerated. This is grossly unfair on all the rest of the population who have to support them, and their Community Work Status will resume, upon losing a job.
5) After School
For School-leavers unable to begin work and employment on leaving school, a new system of Training Apprenticeships and Further Educational Courses will be made available. These Courses will complement the introduction of all school-leavers to a useful career in Industry, Commerce, or the Armed Forces. (See our Education Policy for further details).
All Public Service Employees and Civil Servants will complete their employment when they reach the current statutory retirement age. (Currently 65). Early retirement on full pensions will no longer be a pensionable option.
All new positions filled in the Public Services will no longer carry with them the luxury of an Index-Linked Pension. All Pensions, for the Public and Civil Service, will be similar in structure to Pension Schemes in the private sector. The heavy burden of supporting the Index-Linked Pension can longer be born by the taxpayer.
With all Welfare, and Pensions Benefits, E.P.P. intends to restore the balance between the Public and the Private sector. In future, taking early retirement will mean a Pension will be reduced pro rata, to the scale of the years worked, and in line with the Contributions made.
Pension calculations will be based on the assumption that everybody works to 65. (Or the current, statutory limit). All savings made will be passed on to the Ratepayer.
Sick, and genuinely Disabled people, will be treated with respect, and receive the appropriate Benefits. Those wishing and able to work will be assisted as far possible, with Government regulations respecting any special needs. (See also, our Social Services Policy)
